As an Army Veteran and over 12 and 1/2 years of service, I know what it means to serve. ​I earned my bachelors in Criminal Justice, minoring in Legal Issues and Adjudication from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2008. I continued my education, earning a Masters in Public Administration, specializing in Law and Public Policy from Webster University in 2011. I have worked in the legal field since 2008 as a TDCJ District Parole Officer, an Investigator for DFPS, and as a Paralegal for personal injury, insurance, civil rights, family, and criminal attorneys.  

While being fully invested in the medical field, I found a great medium for my motivation to help people in the Medical Humanities major at the University of Texas at San Antonio. As a first generation graduate, I recognize the obstacles and injustices introduced in flawed systems set in place, and the need to strive to make a change. I plan to create an impact through skills attained through humanities, sociology, ethics, and forensic concentrated courses.
